The immigration professionals within EYs Global Immigration network provide a range of employment-based immigration legal and immigration support services to multinational clients who require employees to work in locations where the employee requires work authorization from the local authorities.

The role of Manager Immigration Legal Managed Services involves day-to-day management and oversight over a specific area of the immigration support services. This may include a focus on the coordination of local and/or global client engagements or may focus on the management of an immigration operations function. The Manager Immigration Legal Managed Services will supervise and manage Immigration Legal Managed Services Staff and/or Seniors who may report directly or indirectly to the Program Manager. The Manager Immigration Legal Managed Services will report to a Senior Manager and/or Partner of the immigration practice.

Core responsibilities for Immigration Legal Managed Services Management:

  • Assist in the development of new immigrationlegal managed servicesopportunities including assisting with proposals gathering and consolidating information from the global network (such as fees) participating in client presentations and conducting demonstrations of process and technology.
  • Manage implementation and transition procedures for new immigration legal managed services including developing project plan establishing engagement-specific processes and protocols and training/coordinating the global network.
  • Drive services integration with other EY teams including Global Mobility Tax and People Advisory Services.
  • Manage drive and coordinate the day-to-day activity of immigration legal managed services engagements including managing escalations (from client and from EY network) and serving as the main point of contact for the EY team regarding any client matters.
  • Monitor and manage client expectations and EYUSdeliverables to agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage and deliver weekly/quarterly/annual meetings with the corporate client for immigration engagements.
  • Manage the coordination of consolidated monthly billing for immigration engagements.
  • Manage and implement continuous improvement for immigration legal managed services engagements including technology enablement streamlining of process and automation.
  • Effective financial management of assigned immigration legal managed services engagements including staff utilization WIP (Work in Progress) management expense management revenue margin and collections.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client management to communicate service progress and engagement issues for immigration legal managed services.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with the client to review immigration legal managed services engagement trends and performance issues
  • Establish and maintain service issue escalation and communication protocols with the client and manage the problem resolution process for escalated service delivery issues. This does not include assisting with the evaluation or resolution of issues concerning work product technical content.

Core responsibilities for Immigration Program Management roles that focus on immigration operations functional management:

  • Ownership and management of a key immigration legal managed services operations function such as: client acceptance independence quality/risk management office administration off-shore teaming near-shore teaming process improvement process automation technology enablement financial management learning & development business development and branding enablement reporting and analytics etc.

Core responsibilities for all Program Management roles:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of EYs service offerings (particularly within PAS) and identify opportunities to cross-sell services.
  • Act as a career counselor to assigned Staff and/or Seniors.
  • Mentor train and coach more junior team members including reviewing work product.
  • Manage delegated work and maintain effective workloads of assigned team.
  • Act as a technical resource in core area of Subject Matter Expertise.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring.
  • Develop staffing plan team structure and margin model for assigned team.

Minimum qualifications experience and skills:

  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree. Preference for degrees in immigration studies law business communications public administration technology analytics finance or other discipline related to the core responsibilities of the Immigration Program Manager.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience client service experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint Spotfire and/or Microsoft Power BI an asset but not required.
  • Certification in Project Management an asset.

Other requirements and skills:

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail with high administrative accuracy.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks in large volume in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with team and with clients.
  • Proven writing skills including the ability to present information in a clear and organized manner.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analytical skills to consolidate information develop and recommend strategy.
  • Show initiative to identify issues and provide creative solutions and suggestions.
  • Sound grasp of financial management.
