The Senior Broadband Fiber Product Manager is a broadband visionary strategist analyst customer evangelist respected leader of execution and professional relationship builder. The Senior Product Manager will play a crucial role in driving innovation and market leadership in T-Mobiles rapidly growing home and enterprise broadband fiber business. The Broadband Fiber Product Manager is a key contributor to the roadmap and execution of fiber-broadband products (e.g. ONTs FTTx CPEs) and services. Youll bridge across engineering finance sales marketing and customer support teams to deliver scalable competitive broadband solutions that delight both residential and business customers.

This means identifying the intersection of customer problems/unmet needs (an opportunity) technical feasibility and business economics to deliver customer value. Candidates should be familiar with fiber network projects network economics optical network technologies and working with fiber equipment providers. The ideal candidate will also have experience with the application of AI and home automation in the broadband industry.

The Senior Broadband Product Manager is a focal point for the organization responsible for coordinating T-Mobile cross functional teams and fiber industry partners to drive broadband growth. The Senior Product Manager must have excellent communication skills and experience working across technology sourcing and commercial marketing teams.

The Senior Product Managers day to day activities/responsibilities will include gathering product requirements from internal stakeholders and fiber business partners publishing a technology and service road map defining long-term opportunities for technology and service integration maintaining relationships with equipment manufacturers and business partners and helping to drive scope for device sourcing and service partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Define fiber/broadband product roadmaps aligned with market needs and operator requirements
  • Evangelize strategy internally and externally gather requirements and influence stakeholders across technology procurement and partners
  • Author and maintain Product Requirement Documents for Fiber related HW
  • Identify new opportunities to deliver customer value and business growth
  • Coordinate product activities among internal stakeholders fiber business partners and equipment providers
  • Establish and oversee business relationships with fiber technology partners
  • Seek opportunities to speed time to market streamline product portfolios and improve business efficiency
  • Coordinate the evaluation of new technologies and services with T-Mobile cross functional teams
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across internal teams to support and execute broader Fiber initiatives and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with technical stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency and alignment toward a comprehensive end-to-end Fiber solution.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise across various domains offering input on hardware architecture network infrastructure and user-facing experiences.
  • Facilitate the definition and harmonization of requirements across multiple organizations to ensure cohesive and executable delivery plans.
  • Champion internal Fiber-related initiatives by evaluating hardware components and understanding their implications across the full system lifecycle.
  • Provide product/feature recommendations to T-Mobiles Product Portfolio and Commercial Marketing teams
  • Stay at the forefront of broadband technologies and contribute to long-term technology evolution

Qualifications:

  • 7 years in consumer broadband telecommunications consumer electronics or related industry experience and skills
  • 7 years in Product Management telecom engineering or related roles (fiber broadband CPEs)
  • Proficient with fiber-broadband technologies (PON ONT FTTH Ethernet WiFi)
  • Familiarity with emerging broadband trends: embedded-AI IoT integration WiFi 8 USP/TR369 cloudbased services and relevant software stacks (RDK/OpenWRT/OpenSync)
  • Experience launching large-scale deployments with operators
  • Strong knowledge of broadband industry including technology suppliers products platforms and positioning
  • Excellent analytical and business skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communications skills with cross functional teams and at leadership levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Bachelors degree required

Base Pay Range: $121600 - $219400

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile employees in regular non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
