Psychotherapist
Location: Much Hadham Hertfordshire
Salary: Band 7- 49450.80 - 55577.02 (Pro Rata)
Contract: Permanent Part-time- 15- 22.5hrs per week (2 or 3 days a week)

With on-site education supported living residential care and a multidisciplinary health agency including nursing therapies psychology and Positive Behaviour Support we offer a unique integrated model that supports individuals across every stage of life.


The Role

As our Psychotherapist youll play a crucial role in supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people with complex needs. Working within our dynamic Health Agency and wider multidisciplinary team youll deliver specialist person-centred interventions that empower individuals to understand manage and thrive with their mental health.


This is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful impactful work across school residential and therapy settings. Youll be joining a committed and talented team and helping to embed a truly therapeutic culture across the Centre.


What Youll Do

  • Build strong trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Deliver personalised evidence-based therapeutic sessions
  • Carry out holistic mental health assessments and contribute to multi-agency care plans
  • Collaborate with residential staff teaching teams nurses and external professionals
  • Maintain high-quality clinical records and contribute to statutory reviews
  • Contribute to clinical governance quality assurance and staff training
  • Champion best practice and innovation in mental health support for individuals with complex needs

What Were Looking For

Were seeking someone passionate emotionally intelligent and highly skilled in supporting children with a wide range of needs.


You will have:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Psychotherapy or related field
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP HCPC)
  • Experience working therapeutically with children and young people with additional or complex needs
  • A collaborative approach to working with families and professional teams
  • Knowledge of mental health strategies safeguarding and relevant legislation
