Job Description
- Deliver proactive and responsive individual counseling services to support the social emotional and academic development of each student on caseload
- Demonstrate caring and concern for all students by establishing a culture of high expectations for learning and behavior
- Implement and deliver counseling-related classroom lessons as needed
- Collaborate and consult with other support staff administration parents caregivers school-based partners and educators to support student success
- Assist with the transition from middle to high school including student course selection and high school registrations
- Maintain strong communication with families regarding student progress and needs
- Advise students and their families on all aspects of the college application process
- Participate in the planning and delivery of college and career-related events including evening information sessions
- Assist with the coordination of standardized testing when needed
- Manage 504 Accommodation Plans
- Participate in IEP TEAM meetings and collaborate with special education and support staff members
