POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is directly responsible to ensure the supply of (MRO) Materials Repairs and Operating Services are met and support corporate cost reduction goals along with inventory and daily production targets.
This role responsible for the procurement of maintenance repair and operations (MRO) supplies and services to ensure the smooth functioning of the organizations facilities and production equipment. This role involves sourcing suppliers negotiating contracts placing purchase orders and managing vendor relationships while ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with company policies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support lead and coach Junior MRO Buyer to meet departmental goals.
- Meet cost reduction targets for (MRO) materials and services to promote cost competitiveness. Involving and quoting for all Arrow divisions where synergies are present.
- Provide cost consumption analysis and inventory rationalization to support the spending controls and inventory production supplies. Weekly reporting.
- Prepare RFQs analyzing data working with leads at each facility to determine needs/expectations. Negotiating with vendors. Working with the plant leads to implement any changes in supply/service.
- Establish and maintain procedures to control and monitor consumable and MRO costs.
- Source and develop new suppliers and review sourcing of all services and production process to improve quality and cost competitiveness of all AOR/EP divisions.
- Maintain key contacts with suppliers who provide MRO services and materials to the facilities. Monitor all contracts cost reduction strategies and policies for supplier quality.
- Develop and support corporate guidelines to control supplier contact with non-purchasing personnel.
- Report and monitor market conditions and trends on key commodities related to MRO establish performance measures for purchasing and the supply base.
- Track monitor and maintain purchase order deliveries to drive on-time delivery to schedules.
- Identify opportunities for consolidation standardization and cost savings across the MRO purchasing function.
- Create and maintain an Approved Supplier list for MRO functions.
- Utilize proven project management skills.
- Support and co-operation with other divisions of Arrow Manufacturing as required or requested.
- Participate as the lead between the corporation and the supply bases for the MRO spend.
- Evaluate and report supplier performance measurable and disposition of quality on behalf of the Corporation.
- Adhere to all purchasing policies procedures and verifications of appropriate applications rules and precedents to support the Corporate Policy and Procedures.
- Support creating and maintenance of Standard Word Instructions.
- Effectively keep Operations and the Purchasing Manager informed with supply chain developments risks disruptions and opportunities.
- Record and continually update a preventative maintenance program in the maintenance computer system to ensure inspections and repairs are documented or scheduled to be repaired.
- Abide by all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties as required.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 2 years in a Lead or Supervisory MRO-focused purchasing role.
- 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education in Materials Management Purchasing or similar. Certification through SCMA or NISCL is preferred.
- Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word Excel and Outlook and ERP/MRP based systems).
- Experience in ROP/Kanban lean concept methodology an asset.
