Job Description
@Orchard has been retained by a growing Federal Contractor and leader in surveillance to identify an associate Network Support Technician/Systems Admin to provide part-time support with network administration services server management data backup and protection services help desk support computer tech support and IT maintenance services on-site in Havre de Grace MD. Job Description:
- May require travel to additional sites in Havre de Grace or in Elkton MD.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to systems including back-up files; update troubleshoot and document systems as necessary.
- Monitor systems effectiveness and efficiency.
- Identify risks with workstations servers and the network.
- Deploy equipment and software.
- Provide a resource for system end users and management staff to ensure system integrity reliability and a strong and reliable security system.
- Provide solutions and recommendations.
- Communicate system functionality hardware/software connectivity upgrades and recommendations to staff through routine reports and quarterly meetings.
- Assist Client Leadership in development of Computer Security Policy and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Less than 5 years (entry-level role students welcome to apply)
- Degree or degree-seeking candidate preferred but not required
- Relevant IT certifications a plus
This is a part-time role requiring approximately 8 to 12 hours per week.
