We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Councils Regulatory Compliance Team as a Housing Dispute Resolution Manager.
About the role
You will lead and manage the strategic and operational response to housing disrepair complaints Health and Housing Safety Rating System (HHSRS) hazards and condition-related disputes with a particular focus on damp and mould. You will ensure timely legally compliant resolutions of complaints and disrepair cases in line with housing legislation the Housing Ombudsmans Complaint Handling Code and new legal requirements such as Awaabs Law.
What you will need:
You will have experience of managing staff teams or multidisciplinary working groups in social housing setting and have an in-depth knowledge of housing disrepair law HHSRS and related housing conditions standards.
A degree level education is essential as well as a CIH Level 4 or equivalent or be willing to undertake the qualification if successful. You must be committed to supporting training and development initiatives and must be flexible and willing to working outside of normal working hours.
