The Opportunity:
The Office of Research Social & Economic Science Research Center is recruiting for a Research Study Assistant. In this role youll play a key part in supporting survey research by performing a variety of assignments involving both quantitative and qualitative data. Youll be responsible for coding data entry and verification as well as reviewing templates and codebooks to ensure consistency and accuracy. Your attention to detail will be important as you will format transcriptions process documents and proofread materials. Youll also establish and maintain manual or electronic recordkeeping and filing systems and conduct data lookups to support research efforts. Additional Information:
This is a part time (50% FTE) project position. This position is overtime eligible.
Project End Date: This is a project position expected to end on 8/31/2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary: $1566 - $2059.50 (prorated at 50% FTE) Range 34 Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic areaANDone year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Program Specialty: understanding of social science survey processes and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience with data analysis
Proficient in Microsoft software Excel Word and other computer software programs.
Familiar with how to compile a Data Entry Code Book and report review and preparation.
