The Place and Economy team is responsible for promoting supporting and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders within Cumberland City Council.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Place and Economy team for a dynamic Principal Smart Places and Development Officer who is responsible for implementing items from Councils Community Strategic Plan and Smart Places Strategy and Action Plan and work on multiple projects to support both operational and strategic planning deliverables. Their day to day actions and solutions will inform process improvements to strengthen Councils service delivery within the community.
The Principal Smart Places and Development Officer will proactively engage and developstrategic partnerships with community groups local businesses service providers government agencies and residents to improve cooperation at the local state and federal level.

About this role:
Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
What youll need to have for this role:
Council adheres to the principles of a child safe organisation and is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and fully supports the aims and objectives of NSW Child Protection Legislation and associated provisions. Council will implement all necessary measures to ensure a safe and supportive environment which endeavours to promote child protection practices.
