Tasked with the overall design and maintenance of the organisations data systems and applications the Developer/Analyst will design configure operate and maintain our ERP systems databases and bespoke applications that allow the organisation to function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary knowledge-holder for all company databases and bespoke applications.
Identify and design high-level business solutions to optimise functionality and meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with business and IT managers to develop strategic roadmaps and validate solution designs.
Analyse business operations and stakeholder objectives to determine database structural requirements.
Develop complete database solutions defining physical structure security and back-up specifications.
Install and maintain database systems resolving performance issues and answering user questions.
Identify IT application gaps create business cases and evaluate potential off-the-shelf versus bespoke solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and liaise with vendors on quotes and deliverables.
Lead the hands-on delivery of application projects and manage technical changes to the ERP system.
Monitor system performance against SLAs and support the Service Desk with incidents problems and changes.
Maintain accurate ERP operating procedures and documentation to ensure compliance and support audits.
Transfer knowledge to business users through training and participate in group forums to support technology governance.
Your Skills & Experience
Proficiency in ERP configuration and development with IFS experience being essential.
Skilled in the use of SQL and Oracle databases.
Excellent troubleshooting diagnostic and analytical problem-solving skills.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to engage with all levels of the organisation.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams (IT and business) and within a group environment.
Ability to work on own initiative to drive change and improve the utilisation of systems.
Understanding of new technologies and their application within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
Capable of working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload effectively.
Results-oriented self-motivated and confident working under minimal supervision.
Demonstrates a can do attitude and a desire for continuous personal development.
