ABOUT THE ROLE
The Food & Beverage Director will lead and manage all aspects of food and beverage operations including staff management budgeting quality control and special event execution. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager this individual will be a strategic and hands-on leader ensuring a high standard of service and hospitality. The role involves direct oversight of the Executive Chef and front-of-house teams with responsibility for both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. The ideal candidate is proactive service-oriented and capable of enhancing the overall member experience through exceptional food beverage and event offerings.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Overseeing all food and beverage operations including dining special events and private functions
Managing and developing front-of-house and kitchen staff including hiring training scheduling and performance management
Collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu planning quality control and cost management
Creating and monitoring departmental budgets and financial targets
Ensuring compliance with health safety labor and alcohol service regulations
Leading service delivery by greeting members and resolving service issues in real-time
Working with club leadership to develop and execute member engagement strategies and events
Maintaining cleanliness safety and functionality of all food and beverage areas
Monitoring inventory and approving purchasing and vendor invoices
Managing POS systems and ensuring accurate member billing
Supporting cultural training to align the department with the clubs mission and values
Serving as Manager on Duty and executing special projects as needed
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
5 years of leadership experience in hospitality preferably within a private club or luxury setting
Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven success managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
Strong knowledge of food beverage and event service standards
Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ClubSoft or POS experience is a plus
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Flexible availability including weekends evenings and holidays
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
