Job Description
We are supporting a major client in Switzerland with a large-scale global SAP transformation program. As part of this initiative BlackLine SmartClose is being rolled out to automate and standardize month-end closing processes across the group.
- Start: tbd.
- Duration: Approx. 9 months
- Location: Switzerland remote
- Language: English (fluent)
- Contract Type: Freelance

Tasks
- Act as a BlackLine SmartClose expert to support automation and optimization of global month-end closing processes.
- Design and implement state-of-the-art financial close workflows ensuring lean standardized and harmonized processes.
- Drive the implementation of the global E2E Business Process Management (BPM) strategy working closely with GBPMs GBPOs and technical stakeholders.
- Own the design and governance of your process area ensuring global alignment with corporate guardrails and continuous improvement.
- Manage change requests ensure robust execution and documentation of processes (e.g. SOPs guidelines) and define process KPIs.
- Act as a subject matter expert in cross-functional initiatives such as ERP deployments integration projects or post-merger integrations.
- Contribute in agile roles (e.g. Product Owner Scrum Master) and help foster agile ways of working across teams.
- Bridge business and IT perspectives by translating functional requirements into technical solutions (SAP/BlackLine).
- Mentor and coach other BPM colleagues and support global stakeholder alignment and change enablement.
Requirements
- 57 years of experience in Finance Accounting or Business Process Management
- Strong understanding of month-end closing processes and finance operations
- Proven hands-on experience with BlackLine SmartClose (design configuration deployment)
- Knowledge of SAP FI/CO and experience in process integration between SAP and BlackLine
- Familiarity with IFRS ICFR and financial compliance frameworks
- Strong IT knowledge to discuss and assess feasibility of the technical solution
- Strong methodological background (e.g. Lean Six Sigma BPM Agile/Scrum)
- Excellent stakeholder and change management skills in a global matrixed environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; confident working in cross-cultural teams
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
