Position will be located at one of the following locations:
North Region Office (1088 E. M32 Gaylord MI 49735)
Traverse City TSC (20841 US31 Traverse City MI 49686)
Alpena TSC (1540 Airport Rd. Alpena MI 49707)
This position is responsible for administering real estate related activity within the North Region. This includes overseeing and administering all work related to Right of Way (ROW) acquisition of temporary and permanent property rights relocation of displaced individuals or businesses demolition property management and coordinating drafting and technical work related to preparing legal descriptions parcel sketches and marked final ROW/right of way project overlay (ROWPO) plans for all North Region projects. Assist the Development Services Section on issues related to disposal of excess property demolition and property leases. Recognized technical specialist for region and Transportation Service Center (TSC) staff regarding Real Estate issues. May perform tasks for any real estate function as well as attend project scoping and public meetings. Whenever possible identify recommend and implement improvements in the work methods and materials utilized in this position. This position is required to possess a valid drivers license to review properties for sale interact with parcel owners and function as a project manager for ROW project compliance multiple times per week.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the Property Analyst 9 level through the maximum rate of the Property Specialist 13 level. Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.
Experience
Property Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.
Property Analyst 10One year of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst 9.
Property Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst including one year equivalent to a Property Analyst 10.
Property Analyst 12
Three years of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst including one year equivalent to a Property Analyst P11.
Property Specialist 13
Four years of experience equivalent to a Property Analyst including two years equivalent to a Property Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to a Property Analyst 12.
Alternate Education and Experience
Property Analyst 9 - 12
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.Additional Requirements and Information
