Responsibilities
Database Administration:
a. Install configure and maintain Oracle RDBMS environments (including
Oracle 12c/18c/19c).
b. Perform database tuning and optimization for high availability and
performance.
c. Regularly monitor and troubleshoot Oracle database issues including
backup and recovery.
d. Ensure that databases are properly patched and up to date.
Security & Access Management:
a. Implement and enforce Oracle local group policies for user access.
b. Design and configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) within Oracle
environments to ensure proper segmentation of duties and compliance with
internal security policies.
c. Regularly review and audit user access roles and privileges to maintain
compliance with security standards.
d. Monitor and manage database security controls including encryption user
authentication and authorization.
Collaboration & Support:
a. Work closely with other IT teams to design implement and manage
database access models for various applications and users.
b. Provide support to development and application teams on issues related to
database access security and performance.
c. Assist in database migration and integration projects.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
a. Design and implement backup strategies for Oracle databases.
b. Perform regular disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
Must Have:
Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
5 years of experience working as an Oracle DBA or in a similar database
administration role.
Strong experience with Oracle RDBMS SQL and PL/SQL.
Expertise in Oracle security features including RBAC Oracle local groups and
auditing.
Experience in database performance tuning backup strategies and recovery
processes.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in an agile development environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Positive mindset to learn new technologies.
Good to Have:
Insurance domain knowledge.
Oracle Database certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional).
Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Experience with other database platforms (SQL Server MySQL) is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
