Job Description
- Participate in economic and technical feasibility studies for oil & gas facility and pipeline projects as well as detailed planning and design;
- Prepare and implement specifications cost estimations equipment scope and deliverables in accordance with project requirements;
- Assist in problem solving that arises during project or assignment execution;
- Prepare interpret or review calculations specifications plans investigations systems or equipment with increasing levels of complexity;
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our engineering tools processes and standards;
- Work with drafting staff to prepare and interpret schematic process and equipment drawings layouts and other deliverables;
- Perform review and evaluation of equipment vendor data and drawings and coordinate with supplier and client personnel;
- Prepare regulatory submissions for facility projects to the AER ABSA and other bodies as required;
- Coordinate material and equipment procurement and scheduling with vendor and field personnel during construction phases;
- And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Engineering degree from an accredited university with 3 to 10 years relevant experience;
- Registration as a Member in Training or Professional Engineer with APEGA;
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal design codes and safety laws;
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and suppliers;
- Working knowledge of engineering computer programs work planning and control methods;
- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible fast-paced environment;
- Travel as required to ensure the successful execution of projects; and
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
