Position Purpose:
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering the incumbent will be primarily responsible for the engineering work for Veolia Water. He/She will have the ability to design and manage a variety of projects that range from water main installation tank design well rehabilitation and pump design but the primary focus will be on refurbishment or replacement of the underground infrastructure. He/She will manage design construction budget and schedule for approximately $8M of improvements per year.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- The Engineer will oversee the design and management of a variety of capital projects in the Weschester office.
- Generate technical specifications and contract documents.
- Manage contractors consultants project tasks schedule & budget.
- Ensure accurate technical performance and timely completion of project engineering design plans details studies specifications and contract documents.
- Proactively explores evaluates and implements new technologies as needed to improve operations.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4 plus years Engineering experience.
- Experience in managing a variety of projects and adhering to schedules.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent analytical organizational computer and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing a variety of projects and adhering to schedules.
- Proven record of managing increasingly complex projects.
- Ability to manage projects and adhere to budgets.
- Abilities to set daily priorities and work schedules.
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Working knowledge of the principals of hydraulic modeling/analysis.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Professional Engineering License in New York State preferred.
Additional Information :
Pay Range: $110000 to $120000 per year.
