Job Description

Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #LB-LN)

Arise/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young man who requires assistance. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assist him with maintaining his independence both on campus and in community settings around Syracuse University. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with studies in and out of the classroom investigating and attending events around SU campus and general independence.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable patient and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.

Work hours include Monday through Friday times depend on class schedule and optional hours on weekends and holidays as needed. Flexibility to fill-in for other staff a plus. The pay rate is $20 per hour with potential for higher pay rate with depending on experience. EFR/Arise is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
