Who are we looking for

We have an opportunity for a qualified Landscape Architect or Landscape Planner with specific specialist knowledge in Landscape Visual Impact Assessment and Landscape Character Assessment to join our team in Sydney.

You will work alongside our renowned LVIA & LCA specialists nationally and work on policy research strategic planning design influence and impact assessment for a broad range of urban design infrastructure water and future energy projects enabling you to build upon your skills and experience and forge a career in our specialist team.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Conducting Landscape Character and Visual Impact Assessments (LCAs & LVIAs)
  • Providing landscape and urban design advice relating to LCAs & LVIAs
  • Conduct site visits and visual impact photography
  • Technical review work project management proposal writing and client partnerships.
  • Producing (or aiding in the production of) strategic landscape plans
  • Collaborating with clients co-consultants and government authorities
  • Development of policy documents relating to landscape character and visual impact assessment

What would you bring to the team

  • 8 - 12 years of experience working in landscape architecture in a consultancy environment
  • Specialist knowledge landscape character and visual impact assessment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture (or similar such as Urban Design or Environmental Planning)
  • Strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Management of map production using cartographic knowledge and graphics design principles
  • An understanding of Australian planning policy and legislation
  • Experience or understanding of Adobe Creative Suite GIS AutoCAD 3dsMax or Sketchup
  • Full drivers licence
