ConXtech is seeking an experienced project management professional responsible for overseeing the Project Manager and Project Engineer (PM/PE) Group executing structural steel building frame projects throughout the United States. You serve as the Company Executive Representative leading the PM/PE Group ensuring all projects are successfully completed assisting in the resolution of issues and providing guidance on dealings with Owners General Contractors Subcontractors and Suppliers as well as other company department personnel. You are responsible for the oversight of all project reports to be updated and ready for appropriate management reviews on a regular basis. The mission is to accomplish all projects safely on time and within budget while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
You have:
A Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering Construction Management or exceptional relative experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience managing a PM/PE or similar Group in a structural steel construction related industry.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager related to the structural steel industry.
Ability to manage the PM/PE Group with multiple simultaneous projects with a constant eye on safety progress issue resolution quality cost and profit.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to effectively guide the PM/PE Group to consistently improve with time.
An understanding of structural steel construction processes including pre-construction sales estimating scheduling planning forecasting billing coordination with fabrication and erection subcontractors field execution and closeout.
A background with structural steel building projects including multiple projects with 100000 square-foot and greater buildings.
Strong problem-solving skills related to project management and field construction.
Ability and self-confidence to make key decisions with self-awareness to update upper management and consult guidance when needed.
General knowledge of structural steel construction methods and technologies with the ability to interpret contracts and architectural structural shop and erection drawings.
General knowledge of local building code requirements.
Knowledge of jobsite safety procedures and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore.
Knowledge / experience with modeling software e.g. Tecka Structures Revit.
Knowledge / experience with scheduling software e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera.
Ability to travel to project sites and attend select meetings and top out ceremonies travel and onsite meetings is 5% to 10% of the job.
What you will be doing:
As a Project Executive you will:
Manage and oversee the PM/PE Group to ensure project goals and objectives are met and relationships with clients are in good standing.
Maintain up-to-date status of active projects to ensure workflow processes are being properly used and project costs and schedules are being updated in support of regular management reviews.
Coordinate closely with company Project Managers Project Engineers and other Department personnel to mediate between Subcontractors Design Engineers Architects and others associated with and working on the project.
Collaborate closely with Clients Owners General Contractors Architects Design Teams and Subcontractors to develop lasting relationships.
Review project scopes estimates and schedules for upcoming projects within the Pre-Construction Group and manage PM/PE resource planning and assignments for these projects as they move into the PM/PE Group.
Proactively identify mitigate report and track project related issues through resolution.
Monitor the progression of projects and ensure adherence to all legal requirements as well as all building and safety codes.
Attend select coordination and progress meetings.
Provide project management oversite via Teams Meetings.
Respond to project delays emergencies and other project disruptions to minimize potential impacts to project schedules and costs.
