Class Summary


Job Description
This Building Brains Anywhere Facility Program Attendant will be responsible for overseeing rental operations at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center and providing direction to part-time team members. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring building safety and maintenance managing audio/visual (AV) systems and maintaining a flexible schedule.
Essential Duties
  • Leading team in responding promptly and positively to inquiries about rental opportunities providing detailed information to customers scheduling and conducting site tours with potential renters and showcasing the facilitys features
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for renters addressing their needs and working to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Communicating effectively on the phone by email and through two-way radio (when applicable) with the public customers and staff
  • Providing administrative support such as coordinating rental agreements (including bookings contracts and payments) and maintaining accurate rental schedules and calendar appointments
  • Using rental registration software efficiently to manage bookings track schedules and communicate with renters/staff
  • Performing routine checks and maintenance on AV equipment to ensureequipment is functioning correctly troubleshooting issues and reporting any significant equipment issues/concerns
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure facility is safe clean and well-maintained and addressing any issues promptly by reporting assigning or performing custodial duties as needed
  • Assisting team with setup of facilities and arrangement of rooms for rentals classes camps or special events
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Public Speaking Duties
  • Representing the organization at rental events by welcoming attendees addressing questions and explaining rental procedures
  • Leading meetings with potential renters and staff and helping set clear expectations
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is B212. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid drivers license
  • High School diploma or GED AND
  • Two years of facility and grounds maintenance and/or related recreation support experience OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
  • Associates degree in hospitality facility/building maintenance or related field AND
  • Two years rental hospitality or event coordinating OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • CPR/First Aid certification
