Job Description
Location: Fountain Inn SC
Schedule: 8-hour shifts 7 days/week - 2nd shift
Employment Type: Contract Full-Time Temporary
- Set up adjust and monitor plastic injection molding processes for machines ranging from 150T to 3000T.
- Perform and support up to 18 mold changes daily ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
- Optimize and maintain molding parameters to achieve quality and productivity standards.
- Troubleshoot process and machine-related issues providing immediate corrective action to maintain production flow.
- Set and adjust robotic programming for part removal and secondary operations using:
- Spray Pro robotics
- Witman robots
- Work with and maintain equipment from various OEMs including:
- Engel
- Ube
- Crossgfy
- ITM
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance quality and engineering teams to improve process stability and part quality.
- Document all process changes and maintain accurate setup sheets and production records.
- 10 years of experience as a Process Technician in an automotive plastic injection molding environment.
- Strong knowledge of thermoplastic processing and mold change procedures.
- Hands-on experience with a high volume of daily mold changes.
- Familiarity with Tier 1 automotive quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat noise and plastic fumes.
