Job Description

The Market and Counterparty Credit Risk portfolio includes strategic initiatives & other projects supporting credit and market risk sponsored by Group Risk Management and Capital this role you will lead the planning organizing and implementation of complex application delivery projects supporting RBCs Risk platform.

What you will do

  • Lead full project lifecycles for multiple/concurrent projects involving credit and market risks

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requires in the US and Canada (US Fed OCC OSFI PSD2

  • Drive the successful delivery of solutions related to CCR model development exposure calculation methodologies collateral management and regulatory reporting enhancements

  • Contribute to the identification of emerging credit risks and support the development of appropriate risk management strategies

  • Display Project Leadership skills through stakeholder management team leadership and management of internal and external dependencies

  • Excel in Project Delivery by establishing and maintaining effective project routines facilitating and planning ceremonies in line with Project Frameworks and ensure clear concise and timely communication across the project deliverables;

  • Display effective Schedule Management skills using scheduling and estimating tools (e.g. Burndown charts project plans) to estimate and sequence project tasks milestones and deliverables in alignment with desired outcomes;

  • Excel in Financial Management through cost estimation within appropriate degrees of confidence monitoring and controlling of project costs (forecasts baselines actuals and benefits) and the PAR process.

What you need to succeed

Must have

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Credit Risk/Capital Markets/Banking. Solid understanding of complex Capital Market products and their associated risks

  • Proven expertise in Credit Risk concepts and methodologies including credit modeling risk assessment (Basel/SA-CCR CVA/XVA

  • Knowledge of industry reference architecture for ESG initiatives and ability to challenge processes functional and technical approaches with various stakeholders

  • A track record of successful delivery as both a Project Manager and Scrum Master with intermediate to advanced coaching/development/servant leadership mindset;

  • Advanced communication skills including presentation facilitation verbal and written.

  • Working knowledge of agile methodology techniques and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver solutions.

  • Facilitate all the Scrum events and its activities

  • Plan team capacity availability allocation

  • Help to prepare DoR / DoD

  • Keeping track of the Sprint dependencies

  • Remove/Escalate the impediments that are likely to hamper the sprint goals

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting CompSci or related degree

Nice to have

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Designation and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation.
    Undergraduate degree/Diploma.

  • Advanced understanding and experience of RBCs Agile iWF and Business Agility project management frameworks and tools (e.g. Planview MS Project Jira Leankit and Confluence).

  • Solid technical background with understanding in software development and web technologies
