This position will be split between Wagner HS and Judson HS
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The P-TECH Facilitators primary purpose is to support our Judson ISD Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools (P-TECH) at Judson HS and Wagner HS to meet the benchmark requirements of the P-TECH blueprint.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification Requirements
- Masters degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
- Valid Texas Drivers License
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of Texas College and Career Readiness School Models the P-TECH Blueprint and outcomes-based measures for P-TECH
- Excellent presentation interpersonal organizational managerial data analysis and technology skills
- Knowledge of dual enrollment courses credit and curriculum alignment
- Knowledge of college readiness and recruitment strategies that affect access to education retention and achievement gap for underrepresented students such as economically disadvantaged and at-risk students.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse constituency across all academic and administrative units within the school district and higher education institutions
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

- Complete the Annual CCRSM Designation Application
- Assist with P-TECH Student Scheduling
- Facilitate TSIA prep and testing
- Facilitate CCRSM Leadership Team
- Document of P-TECH Strategic Priorities
- Maintain all required documentation from P-TECH blueprint for the JISD website
- Plan and facilitate P-TECH Staff Professional Development
- Work with CTE on Advisory Board recruitment and facilitation.
- Create awareness and understanding of our CCRSM programs for all stakeholders including campus and district staff parents and students.
- Execute budgetary needs
- Create and revise 4-year plan crosswalks with IHEs and college credit transfer guides
- Review PEIMS coding for course credit and program coding
- Maintain database with current dual credit student grades for intervention and support
- Act as High School liaison with Institute of High Education (IHE)
- Coordinate transportation with IHE
- Coordinate with IHE for academic supports
- Create campus awareness transferability and applicability of dual credit
- Monitor and analyze Outcome-based Measures data
- Help find scholarships internships and mentorships
- Facilitate student recruitment and enrollment
- Organize and implement Parent Nights and Middle School Visits
- Create and facilitate application process
- Communicate plan for recruitment with all stakeholders
- Facilitate CCRSM Lottery
- Plan for EOC assessment success
- Create a plan for student success and persistence
- Plan and facilitate CCRSM Summer Bridge Programs
- Coordinate with IHE for student advising
- Plan and implement Student interventions such as tutoring Saturday school etc.
- Build in time management study skills and soft skills into 4-year plans
- Work with counseling to ensure social and emotional wellbeing as well as college and career support
- Facilitate community service mentorships parent outreach and family engagement on course enrollment
- Collaborate with industry partners to provide work-based learning experience for students
- Track student participation in work-based learning opportunities.
- Promote positive school-community relations by communicating effectively with staff students parents and the community to enhance the mission of JISD P-TECHs
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Maintains a consistent professional demeanor and appearance
- Ensures compliance with the Texas Educators Code of Ethics
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job

Equipment
Computer computer software programs (especially Excel) and peripherals teacher resource materials and equipment copier fax and other equipment applicable to position.
Mental Demands
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) interpret policies and procedures reason read understand verbal instructions analyze differentiate coordinate compile instruct and maintain emotional control.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (15-44 pounds) sit stand walk climb stairs or ladder reach repetitive hand motions hear speak travel infrequently within the District and occasionally outside the district/county. May experience prolonged and irregular work hours and work with frequent interruptions.
Environmental Factors
Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold) humidity extremes noise. Occasional exposure to: biological hazards (communicable diseases bacteria insects mold fungi etc.)
