POSITION: Inventory Control Specialist 2
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
PAY RATE: $21.79 - $24 per hour (DOE) Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Huron SD
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for receiving assisting with cycle counts and pick lists for job materials.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Assist Inventory Control Manager/Site Manager in monitoring inventory levels.
- Assist in identifying damaged obsolete and slow-moving inventory items.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies when necessary.
- Responsible for the receiving of materials through system processes.
- Will assist production with immediate inventory needs when necessary.
- Assist with performing cycle counts and sweeps in accordance with company policy.
- Generate job pick lists for kitted material for the shop floor.
- Performing inventory transactions in Company ERP and TEKLA systems.
- Assist material handlers as needed.
- Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Understanding of internal controls and programs.
- Strong systems background.
- Demonstrated knowledge with Excel Word and Outlook.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced deadline-oriented atmosphere.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical School degree or equivalent experience.
- One to three years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in inventory control preferred.
