You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReporting to the Mens and Womens Soccer Head Coach the Assistant Coach provides assistance to the Head
Coach in order to run a successful Soccer program. The Assistant Coach mentors student athletes to help them
reach their full potential on and off the field; helps build a program that the University students alumni and
community can be proud of. This position will assist in the recruiting of potential student athletes and provide
complementary management of the program including practice competitions travel purchasing and other duties
as assigned. The Assistant Coach will adhere to institutional conference and all other required regulations and
policies. The Assistant Coach assists all aspects of recruiting potential student athletes in order to maintain a
team that will compete. The Assistant Coach maintains knowledge of all institutional and Conference rules and
regulations for recruiting. The Assistant Coach assists in the overall management of the programs as directed by
the head coach (travel practice competition etc.) but will have specific responsibilities in athletics also as
directed by the Head Coach.
Assists in the organization of practice plans and competition; communicates and assists in demonstrating
specific required soccer skills.
Assist and lead the soccer teams as assigned by the Head Coach in training and competition including
demonstrating sport skills and educating students through drills physical conditioning organized play
mental training team strategy team meetings coach-player discussions and other activities.
Participate in recruitment activities as assigned.
Adheres to all institutional Conference and all other rules regulations and policies.
Assists in preparing training sessions including strength and conditioning.
All other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Bachelors degree from an accredited college required or combination of education and experience
Minimum of 1-year previous collegiate soccer coaching and/or soccer playing experience at the
Collegiate level required.
Must possess excellent written listening and verbal communication skills
Must possess excellent computer and social media skills
Must be able to successfully complete a background check and the annual NCAA Coaches recruiting
test.

Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day. Some lifting (up to 25 pounds occasionally) bending and carrying.
The employee is regularly required to talk and hear and to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
