Job Description

Summary: The Woonsocket Learning Community provides all learners a safe and rigorous learning experience that embraces diversity culture and individuality to create productive members of our global community. An individual who supports interdependent student-centered classrooms that promote discourse and collaboration. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Plan a program of study that as much as possible meets the individual needs interests and abilities of a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the the learning process toward achieving curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons units projects and similar activities to communicate these objectives to instructional methods and materials that are most suitable for achieving the stated students accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as the learning disabilities of students regularly seeking the assistance of the district specialist as with colleagues students and/or parents the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct and for the classroom develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned to maintain and improve professional staff meetings and serve on staff committees as for monitoring student safety. Required Qualifications:RIDE Math Certification (5-8 or 7-12)Right to Read Awareness CertificateESL Certification preferred
