Job Duties:

Oversees retention and/or transfer efforts for students who are considered at risk of failing dropping out of school or transferring to another school or program. Serves as a resource to faculty staff and students.

The Student Success Coach position is designed to provide holistic and personalized support for UW-Green Bays diverse student population through proactive outreach strategic advising and intentional relationship-building. The Success Coach will serve as a consistent point of contact for a caseload of at-risk students working to foster a sense of belonging increase retention and close opportunity gaps. Key responsibilities include conducting intake assessments to identify individual strengths and needs developing tailored holistic success plans and maintaining regular communication throughout the semester. Coaches will provide support and personal guidance through timely resource referrals facilitate skill-building workshops and collaborate closely with faculty advisors and campus partners to ensure wraparound support while tracking student progress and documenting interactions using Navigate our student success addition the Success Coach will assist the supervisor with coordination and training of student success peer mentor component of the program.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicates assists and monitors progress of students
  • Provides referrals to appropriate campus resources
  • Adheres to the established plan of operation curriculum process policy program procedures and all other related federal regulations
  • Partners with academic advisors faculty staff students and administrative personnel to track analytics and help identify risk indicators to support data-informed retention and transfer strategies
  • Advocates for campus-wide retention initiatives
  • Maintains accurate student records including contact logs case notes and files
  • Monitors plans and facilitates student academic progress student programming and success plans
  • Makes recommendations to improve retention efforts

Minimum compensation of $46610.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

This includes 9 legal holidays 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year depending on years of service and employment type.

Employee Misconduct
