The opportunity
As a Sr Reliability Engineering Test Technician within our Reliability Engineering team you will play a hands-on role in supporting the development and validation of Magic Leap products. Youll be responsible for executing and troubleshooting system- and module-level reliability tests while working closely with engineers to ensure accurate test results and actionable insights. Your work will directly impact product quality performance and long-term reliability in the field.
What youll do
- Execute detailed test procedures and document test results
- Analyze data and collaborate with Reliability Engineers on findings
- Configure and operate complex test setups using high-accuracy measurement equipment
- Support test method development and optimization in collaboration with Reliability Engineers
- Troubleshoot equipment and test samples to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed
- Handle and manage samples in coordination with cross-functional teams
- Assist in diagnosing issues with test instrumentation
- Prepare and update work instructions for lab technicians
- Track and maintain detailed records of testing progress and timelines
- Meet project deadlines and support ongoing test execution
The experience you bring
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5 years of experience in reliability testing or related lab testing with electro-mechanical products preferably in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment
- Direct experience executing reliability or equivalent testing for high-tech hardware products
- Experience with test method and hardware development including software and hardware utilization and debugging
- Proficiency in writing technical test procedures and documentation
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail when handling samples and recording test data
- Comfort and confidence working independently in a lab setting
- A proactive collaborative attitude with a passion for quality and problem-solving

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and addition to salary Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
