The opportunity

As a Sr Reliability Engineering Test Technician within our Reliability Engineering team you will play a hands-on role in supporting the development and validation of Magic Leap products. Youll be responsible for executing and troubleshooting system- and module-level reliability tests while working closely with engineers to ensure accurate test results and actionable insights. Your work will directly impact product quality performance and long-term reliability in the field.

What youll do

  • Execute detailed test procedures and document test results
  • Analyze data and collaborate with Reliability Engineers on findings
  • Configure and operate complex test setups using high-accuracy measurement equipment
  • Support test method development and optimization in collaboration with Reliability Engineers
  • Troubleshoot equipment and test samples to ensure accurate and reliable test results
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed
  • Handle and manage samples in coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Assist in diagnosing issues with test instrumentation
  • Prepare and update work instructions for lab technicians
  • Track and maintain detailed records of testing progress and timelines
  • Meet project deadlines and support ongoing test execution

The experience you bring

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 5 years of experience in reliability testing or related lab testing with electro-mechanical products preferably in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment
  • Direct experience executing reliability or equivalent testing for high-tech hardware products
  • Experience with test method and hardware development including software and hardware utilization and debugging
  • Proficiency in writing technical test procedures and documentation
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High attention to detail when handling samples and recording test data
  • Comfort and confidence working independently in a lab setting
  • A proactive collaborative attitude with a passion for quality and problem-solving
