Job Description

Credit Operations Specialist Business Cards & Payments

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Client-Facing Associate to join our BC&P Credit team. This individual will play a critical role in managing documentation and coordination for credit reevaluations and new opportunity workflows. Acting as a liaison between clients underwriters spreading teams and opportunity managers this associate will own the process end-to-end: from document collection through successful deal closure.

General Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients to collect documentation related to: Credit line adjustment Commercial card reevaluations and KYC (Know Your Customer) and ownership verification

  • Review application documents for completeness and ensure credit files located in the document repository are accurate updated and organized for downstream partners.

  • Coordinate with internal spreading teams to hand off completed documentation for underwriting

  • Partner with underwriters to clarify document requirements and ensure timely collection from clients

  • Application Reviews-review application documents for accuracy and completeness; maintain systems of record

  • Manage Salesforce opportunities to completion ensuring all pipeline activity is accurately tracked and deals are successfully closed

  • Collaborate with closing and opportunity management teams to finalize transactions

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives across the team; identify and recommend operational efficiencies

  • Maintain a foundational understanding of financial statements to support documentation conversations with clients

  • AML/KYC Compliance-understanding and adhering to various regulatory requirements and business policies regarding: LexisNexis Dun & Bradstreet Regulation O OFAC and credit reports when applicable

  • Deliver sound results with a high degree of independence

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of Process management experience

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience in a client-facing role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or Military Experience

  • 1 year of Credit Support experience

  • 1 year of experience with Salesforce

  • Ability to interpret financial statements

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Plano TX: $64700 - $73900 for Ops Associate











Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
