Senior Data Engineer

(Location: Poland)

We are seeking a talented professional to join us as a Senior Data Engineer to develop and deliver data insights and solutions through your technical and business expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest transform and store large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Optimize data storage retrieval and processing mechanisms for performance reliability and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and deploy monitoring systems to proactively identify data pipeline failures and anomalies before they impact business operations
  • Partner closely with the BI team to ensure seamless integration between data pipelines and BI tools resulting in high-quality reliable dashboards and optimized data sources that deliver actionable business insights
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues performance bottlenecks and system failures in production environments.
  • Implement best practices for knowledge transfer and documentation to achieve internal consistency and long-term scalability
  • Mentor and support junior analysts by demonstrating best practices and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering Math Statistics or other related field
  • 5 years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL (any dialect) is required while familiarity with Python is considered advantageous
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced and high pressure environment
  • Strong communications skills and can communicate business concepts and data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail exhibiting the highest standards of professional integrity and work ethic
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with a global team
  • Experience and comfort working remotely with the ability to thrive under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Corporate Real Estate knowledge
  • Familiarity with Databricks
  • Track record of making business impact by mining and extracting value from large and disconnected datasets
