Director of Development
Primary Function: Under the direction of the President the Director of Development (DoD) is responsible for the annual Courage Under Fire Gala (Gala) local Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) center fundraising efforts and stewardship for all benefactors in support of Regina Caeli Academys mission and goals.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Development
- Manages the Gala (annual fundraiser) and Center Fundraising including sponsor development public relations communications marketing and strategic planning for the events.
- Develops and maintains effective community relationships through stewardship.
- Raise public awareness of the Gala and RCA through presentations to prospective sponsors individuals clubs and organizations publications and special programs.
- Coordinates the stewardship process of grants awarded to RCA.
- Oversees the donor database management systems (Qgiv Little Green Light or others) to make sure accuracy of donor information and proper documentation of donors information and coordinates with the Director of Finance to assure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the administrative tasks required to carry out the RCAs mission and objectives
- Coordinates and oversees the Gala including the organization of all meetings and functions of the Gala.
- Coordinates with the President and VP of External Relations in the following activities: development of RCAs overall fundraising strategic plan; development of annual RCA fundraising goals action plans and budgets; planning and execution of fundraising activities related to the Gala and RCA Center fundraising; communication and stewardship with the community donors and potential donors.
- Reviews Gala and RCA Center funding requests with the President
- Secures sponsorships for the Gala and RCA Centers in a timely manner
Advertising and Marketing for Gala and RCA Center Fundraising
- Develops and implements direct fundraising programs for events in collaboration with the VP of External Relations for the solicitation of individuals foundations and corporate donors/partners.
- Manages coordinates and implements the Gala advertising program including identifying revenue goals and expenses in consultation with the President developing and executing marketing plans and programs for the Gala to ensure effective utilization of RCAs resources and services for revenue enhancement.
- Organizes and assists Gala and Centers with advertising activities and the coordination of those activities to further enhance their fundraising efforts
Corporate and Community Relations
- Develops monitors and maintains effective stewardship with national businesses and community organizations on behalf of RCA for the Gala and RCA Centers. Will work in collaboration with the President and Vice President of External Relations to assure consistent stewardship.
- Assists with other RCA events as needed
Administration and Fiscal Management
- Develops and maintains the Gala and each RCA Centers annual budgets and works to stay within the annual budgeted expense allocations
- Complies with policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations regarding fundraising planned giving and charitable giving tax implications
- Develops budgets based upon documented program needs for RCA; implements programs within budget limits; maintains fiscal control; accurately reports fiscal information
Professional Growth and Development
- Maintains current knowledge of developments innovations practices and regulations regarding fundraising planned giving and charitable tax implications available advertising opportunities and school/corporate involvement and support programming
- Maintains membership and represents RCA in appropriate professional and community groups and associations
- Evaluates the Gala and Center Fundraising program and services and recommends changes
Supervisory Responsibilities

Education/Licenses/Experience: Bachelors degree Masters degree preferred. Three years of experience in two or more of the following areas: non-profit management fundraising public relations communications or marketing and two years of supervisory experience in a related field.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday and evenings and weekends as needed
Work Location: Remote
Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills good organization timeliness a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
