Position Summary
The Director of Operations for UNC Field Hockey is a high-level administrative and strategic position responsible for managing and advancing the operational logistical and developmental aspects of the program. This individual will be empowered to make independent decisions and negotiate directly with vendors and partners to optimize program operations. The role requires strategic oversight of travel budgeting facilities and student-athlete support contributing significantly to the success of the program.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Bachelors degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collegiate or professional sports operations preferably within Olympic sports. Demonstrated success in independently managing complex travel logistics and financial operations. Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills. Knowledge of NCAA and ACC compliance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Prefer at least 1 year in relevant independent or educational activities.
Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8:00AM 5:00PM Overtime as needed and approved. Some travel may be required.
