Waste Collector

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Waste Collector on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.26 - 17.17 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Load and collect domestic waste and recycling in a safe and responsible manner
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions performing physically demanding repetitive tasks
• Report to the supervisor at the start and end of each shift
• Accurately complete paperwork and assist with route planning
• Assist and train new staff in waste collection procedures

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in collecting and recycling waste materials
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• High level of physical fitness and sensory awareness
• Ability to work early mornings weekends and in difficult weather conditions
• Team player with good communication skills
• Awareness of risks (e.g. needles chemicals hazardous waste)

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
