Civmec are seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our manufacturing and fabrication team based at our Henderson Workshop facility. We are currently working on a variety of complex and high profile projects.

This position is offered on a Monday Friday roster with the opportunity for additional overtime.

Our workshop hours are 6AM 4.30PM with casual and fulltime positions available

The Role

The daily responsibilities include:

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings specifications andstandards.
• Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings specifications and standards
• Cut notch drill ream shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings specifications andstandards.
• Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions edge preparations weld preparations weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings specifications and standards.
• Fit required lifting lugs bracing supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantrycranes.
• Perform welding techniques including but not limited to MMAW FCAW MIG

About You

• Trade Certificate in Boilermaking Metal Fabrication or Plateworker
• Heavy Fabrication Workshop experience
• Working at heights and confined space ticket required - EWP advantageous
• Minimum 2-3 years relevantexperience with similar structures specifications and standard
