Technical Project Lead â Software Development

What success looks like in this role:

Oversees Delivery Management teams leaders and processes.
Ensures processes are in place and followed to effectively manage delivery projects promote value-added client relationship management oversee budget execution manage costs and ensure service delivery in accordance with quality standards and service level agreements.
Leads the execution and delivery of multiple / diverse / complex projects ensuring they meet timelines budgets financial goals and quality standards.
Manages project and service delivery budgets ensuring effective cost control and alignment with financial targets.
Provides regular updates for senior leadership tracking project expenses profitability and overall health.
Identifies and manages project risks ensuring measures are in place to address challenges and manage project / scope change.
Handles escalations resolving risks arising during the project lifecycle and ensuring minimal impact on service delivery.
Manages the performance of any 3rd Party providers and sub-contractors in order to ensure the implementation of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Lead and manage a global development team of 90 associates across multiple time zones.
• - Coordinate the efforts of Application Architects Business Analysts and SMEs to ensure alignment with project goals.
• - Oversee the design and implementation of a microservices-based architecture using Java technologies.
• - Ensure successful deployment and operation of the application on AWS infrastructure.
• - Define project scope goals and deliverables that support business objectives.
• - Develop detailed project plans schedules and resource allocations.
• - Monitor and report on project progress risks and issues to stakeholders.
• - Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
• - Ensure adherence to quality standards security policies and compliance requirements.
• - Drive continuous improvement and agile best practices across the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• - Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects with international teams.
• - Strong technical background in Java microservices architecture and cloud deployment (preferably AWS).
• - Experience working with cross-functional roles including architects analysts and SMEs.
• - Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
• - Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile Scrum Kanban etc.).
• - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• - PMP PMI-ACP or equivalent project management certification.
• - Experience in the airline or travel industry.
• - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• - Multilingual communication skills.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 8-10 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Graduate degree preferred
4-6 years leadership experience
