Job Description

Work Schedule: 8 hours per day; Monday through Friday; 12-month position EXEMPT Administration Position

Job Summary: The HR Program Manager will be responsible for the ongoing management of key HR programs and initiatives that support our District goals and enhance the employee experience. The HR Program Manager will collaborate closely with various HR functions and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of programs from conception through completion.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain all personnel files ensuring they are up-to-date
  • Process employment verifications
  • Provide assistance to the Director of Human Resources as needed to assess formulate and implement plans policies and procedures
  • Create Certified Staff work schedule calendars
  • Perform routine clerical duties including typing filing mailing sorting mail and handling telephone calls.
  • Keep record of evaluations for instructional support personnel
  • Distribute Board approval letters.
  • Post job positions and keep a record of vacancies
  • Process criminal background checks on employees and volunteers
  • Process coordinate and ensure the completion of new employee forms
  • Process and track all FMLA and Leave requests
  • Handle Unemployment claims
  • Monitor and maintain Frontline Absence Management for employees
  • Schedule staff onboarding meetings
  • Maintain employee controls including Vector Training
  • Research and prepare reports as requested by the Director of Human Resources as needed for various data systems
  • Assist with new hire training employee orientation and other HR sponsored activities and events
  • Manage or assist with various HR related programs policies and procedures
  • Assist with preparing HR reports for the School Board
  • All other duties assigned by the Director of Human Resources

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related area of study preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and Google Workspace
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with educational terminology and public school operations a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with

The position requires frequent changes in sitting standing and walking throughout the day. The employee may also need to do frequent bending and/or kneeling. The employee must frequently speak and hear as well as utilize the telephone and computer. The position requires lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds such as boxes of files or office supplies at times for short distances. This position requires prolonged periods of computer work including data entry and keyboarding. Manual dexterity and the ability to use office equipment including keyboards printers and copiers are essential. Good vision with or without correction is required for reading documents and computer screens. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is also a key component of the role.
