Job Description
11 month position July 1st May 31st. The Operations & Game Management Assistant will provide support to the Facilities and Event Operations department including serving as game-day administrator for several Olympic sports contest. This role coordinate and oversee Olympic sport competitions and will also assist with tournament management for select Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA events. Additionally the position will have responsibilities with the coordination and support of non-sporting events in and around all athletics facilities. Assistance with all aspects of registration and tracking for Syracuse University athletics affiliated youth activities.
Responsibilities
Game Management Oversight of assigned game day setup scheduling operation manuals game contracts and logistics. Working with conference and officials to adequately operate under NCAA and conference rules. Coordinating needs of home and visiting teams. Facilities Coordination Assistance in monitoring maintenance organization safety and upkeep of facilities. Working with staff to provided needed services related to each groups area of operation. Working on building access needs. Event Management Oversight of internal and external events including staffing service request budgeting and meeting events needs. Creating and implementing operational plans related to each event. Coordinate with staffing by facilitate and instruct projects within the department to student intern and oversee student staff and event staff at Olympic sporting events. Assist with facilities scheduling including varsity team games and practices camps clinics recreation services and external/rental users as well as other items as assigned.
