Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Program Manager

ANE Consulting ( is a leading construction management services firm known for its excellence in delivering complex high-visibility projects. As a part of a prominent multi-year public infrastructure initiative ANE is managing the development of four new borough-based jails in New York City replacing the Rikers Island complex.

About the Role

As Deputy Program Manager you will play a critical leadership role in the execution and oversight of a high-profile design-build program. This position offers long-term career stability hands-on impact and the opportunity to shape vital public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in program management and project coordination to ensure successful project execution.

  • Oversee implementation of policies and procedures to align with program goals.

  • Manage contracts scope budgets and staffing maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring timely responses to concerns.

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including project managers inspectors schedulers estimators and safety personnel.

  • Coordinate efforts across design program controls community outreach teams and other stakeholders.

  • Identify challenges and opportunities analyze risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.

  • Support financial oversight by tracking expenses assisting with budget forecasting and managing project costs.

  • Lead Operations Review Meetings to communicate project progress and financial status.

  • Model integrity accountability and professional standards while mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.

  • Approximately 15 years of experience managing complex construction projects.

  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale high-rise or public infrastructure construction.

  • Strong knowledge of construction cost scheduling estimating engineering and procurement processes.

  • Advanced ability to read and interpret contract documents architectural/engineering drawings specifications scopes of work and project schedules.

  • Proven leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with construction and project management software tools.

  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
