Job Description

Job Summary:

This temporary-to-hire Medical Assistant position supports a cardiology clinic providing clinical and administrative assistance. Responsibilities include patient care chart preparation telephone triage authorization forms and potential travel to satellite clinics. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred but candidates with primary care experience will be considered. The position requires reliable transportation and proficiency in EPIC charting.
Location: Seattle N/A Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical assistance to patients.
- Prepare charts and assist with administrative tasks including refills and inbasket support.
- Perform telephone triage and complete authorization forms.
- Travel to satellite clinics as needed (Edmonds Ballard Redmond Bellevue).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant (Cardiology experience preferred but primary care experience acceptable).
- BLS certification.
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation (personal vehicle required).
- MA-C preferred MA-R acceptable.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience in a cardiology setting.
Special Considerations:
- Temporary-to-hire position with a 13-week contract.
- Day shift (0830-1700 Monday-Friday).
- Potential for up to one unscheduled day off per two-week pay period.
- Willingness to float between clinics within the same skillset.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate permanently to Seattle if offered a permanent position. Non-local candidates must provide a statement confirming their willingness to relocate permanently.
- No block scheduling accommodations.

Scheduling:
- 5 eight-hour days per week (Monday-Friday).

- Shift assignments are pre-determined.
