Job Description

Job Title: Network Consultant

Location: Columbus IN
Mode: Contract

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing infrastructure at Data Centers Colocation sites and Equinix Cloud Exchange

  • Proficient in rack & stack and cabling tasks in large-scale Data Center environments

  • Coordinate remotely with Telecom ISPs and on-site technicians for installation cross-connects and device provisioning

  • Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 Nexus infrastructure in data centers

  • Manage and troubleshoot switch networks with MST RPVST EtherChannel Dot1Q Trunking VLAN pruning etc.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise routing protocols MPLS BGP QoS on Cisco ISRASR routers

  • Hands-on experience with Aruba SilverPeak SD-WAN design deployment and troubleshooting

  • Experience with Wireless technologies:

    • Aruba Central

    • Cisco WLC C9800

    • Cisco DNAC

    • Lightweight Access Points (LWAP)

    • 4G CradlePoint

  • Skilled in managing F5 load balancers Big-IQ Big-IP LTM/GTM Viprion (physical/virtual)

  • Experience working with SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions and their integration with SD-WAN

  • Basic understanding and log analysis of Next-Gen Firewalls

  • Competent in network packet analysis and traffic flow monitoring using tools like Wireshark

  • Strong mindset in automation innovation and problem-solving

  • Driven by solution-oriented thinking with a continuous improvement approach

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards regulatory compliance and internal policies

  • Maintain high Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) through First Call Resolution and minimal reopen rates

  • Contribute to proposal creation and Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) for Enterprise Network services

  • Independently resolve support tickets while ensuring SLA compliance in terms of volume and response time

  • Provide L3 support during on-call escalations and actively manage incidents and problems

  • Add value through:

    • Knowledge base creation and updates

    • Training and mentoring junior staff

    • Participation in interviews and hiring initiatives
