Job Description

The Executive Director of Justice works in a leadership supportive and collaborative capacity to lead marketing business development and key project performance initiatives. This position is responsible for advancing Vanirs presence reputation influence and capabilities in the Justice market by working collaboratively with employees and industry partners in securing meaningful programs and projects and continually improving our practice. This role maintains strategic focus for the successful pursuit marketing and acquisition of new business. The Executive Director supports each Area Manager with area growth strategy and program and project operations and will help increase and strengthen Vanirs presence in the Justice market sector as well as help achieve 5-year and 10-year company growth goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Justice Marketing and Sales
  • Internal development and leadership of Vanir Justice Services
  • Oversight on major programs and other specifically designated programs/projects
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge related to pertinent laws regulations funding mechanisms and legislation impacting the Justice market
  • Be the go-to person within Vanir for Justice expertise
  • Be an expert in Justice facilities services and be recognized as such by clients A/Es Contractors and governmental agencies
  • For designated project pursuits in collaboration with corporate business development and marketing assist area managers in developing capture plans staffing strategies identifying capture managers proposal champions and developing key messages
  • Interact regularly with internal and external operations marketing and business development staff on proposal development statements of qualifications and developing marketing collateral
  • Write key sections of proposals when needed
  • Participate in presentation development coaching teams and participate in presentations
  • Develop and advance leads for key programs in collaboration with Area Managers from pre-sell through proposal presentation capture and contract negotiation
  • Interact regularly with internal and external operations marketing and business development staff on proposal development statements of qualifications and developing marketing collateral
  • Write key sections of proposals when called for
  • Participate in presentation development coaching teams and participate in presentations when called for
  • Develop and advance leads for key programs in collaboration with Area Managers from pre-sell through proposal presentation capture and contract negotiation
  • Be billable on project start-ups and/or on-going project oversight when called for due to specific skills and/or client relationships
  • Attend industry-related associations events networking opportunities and collaborations
  • Strategize plan and lead Vanirs involvement in client-related organizations
  • Increase Vanirs visibility by developing presentations and papers on key topics and regularly presenting same at local and national conferences; assist others at Vanir to do so
  • Build purposeful relationships with key firms Political Leaders and industry peers
  • Be an active participant in Vanirs internal Quality Program
  • Aggregate summarize and present lessons learned to Vanir employees and officers
  • Maintain contact with key clients
  • Contribute to the successful performance of each area through ongoing coaching feedback and development to motivate engage and drive high performing teams
  • Assist in program or project startup of key contract wins
  • Represent owners Vanir and related parties in public forums and meetings
  • Consistently follow Vanirs safety policies promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Architecture Engineering or Construction Management preferred. Will consider relevant degrees in Business Administration or Liberal Arts
  • 15 years in architecture engineering construction management project management and/or related disciplines 10 years of which is in A/E/C industry
  • Strong success in selling and delivering services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proven experience in Business development strategy development and networking
  • Experienced with Justice program and project development and management
  • Principles and practices of RFP/RFQ proposal response and presentation preparation
  • AIA PE and/or Certified Construction Manager Preferred

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including education qualifications experience and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $160000.00-$170000.00.
