W Sydney now casting for a Reservations & Groups Supervisor. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Reservations Manager this integral roleprovides support to the Reservations and Groups division and wider hotel. You willassist the team in driving revenue and increase market share across all segments. You will also assist in the managing of group reservations sales-related opportunities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limitedto:
- Process all reservation requests changes and cancellations received by phone email and social channels (or any other applicable platform)
- Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.
- Accommodate and document special requests
- Oversee accuracy of room blocks reservations and group market codes.
- Identifies new group reservations sales business to achieve personal and property revenue goals
- Process all group reservation requests changes and cancellations
- Set-up accurate billing accounts according to accounting policies
- Maintain guest history update and ensure the latest information is retained in the record
- Be proficient in answering questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations
- Use sales techniques when assisting guests in making reservations including personalising calls obtaining complete guest needs suggesting alternate dates or directing guests to sister Marriot International properties on sold out days
- Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
- Promotion of Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
- Maximise upselling opportunities where possible
- Demonstrates self-confidence energy personal manages time well and builds a positive work environment
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in reservations/front office within a 5-star/luxury hotel environment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication and Microsoft Office skills and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and interpersonal skills
