The Production Supervisor directly oversees production employees to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and in designated areas. This includes planning assigning and directing work addressing product and employee concerns and resolving issues. This role carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies OSHA regulations and applicable laws. The supervisor collaborates with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign direct review and monitor the work of team members to ensure optimal productivity.
How you will make contributions that matter...
Ensure proper procedures are in place and followed to support production efficiency product quality employee safety and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments.
Coordinate production schedules and estimate labor requirements for production runs.
Evaluate daily production needs and assign duties accordingly; adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Complete all assigned documentation including but not limited to production/packaging records Master Cleaning Sanitation Lists schedules accident reports investigations and other required forms.
Coordinate and conduct employee training (e.g. job-specific safety) and monitor performance.
Recommend improvements to production methods equipment performance and product quality.
Analyze and resolve work-related issues or assist employees in problem-solving.
Maintain time and production records as required.
Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
Supervise assigned employees including scheduling performance management feedback and disciplinary actions. If a collective bargaining agreement exists participate in grievance resolution and related discussions.
Lead problem-solving efforts through team meetings and on-the-floor leadership.
Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures; support progressive disciplinary actions in partnership with Human Resources.
Promote safety programs and policies to reduce incidents and near-misses.
Train and instruct employees on production and equipment standards and processes; enforce policies and procedures.
Engage in planning evaluating organizing integrating and delegating responsibilities typical of a supervisory role.
Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively demonstrate Saputos values.
Perform SAP-related tasks documentation and troubleshooting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you
Have a minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Possess 13 years of supervisory experience in a food packaging environment (preferred).
Can define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Are familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Have experience leading and adhering to safety/security policies and procedures.
Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications.
Can follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures and report and address deficiencies.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Are highly organized detail-oriented and skilled in task prioritization.
Are a strong team player and leader capable of working across multiple functions and disciplines.
Can select lead coach influence motivate develop engage and retain a team.
Understand cost containment and budgetary principles.
Are willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends to support plant operations.

The hours for this position are from 5:00PM CT to 5:00AM CT.
We run a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Employees work two days follow by two days off then three days on.
The following week the work schedule reverses: two days off two days on and three days off.
Salary Range: $71805 to $92245
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience education skills and training.
