Job Title: Direct Sales Representative

SUMMARY
Solicits parts business from assigned accounts through personal and phone contracts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises a staff of approximately10 employees who are employed in a sales or support capacity. Assists in the overall direction coordination and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Three to five years parts retail and/or wholesale experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
