Are you an experienced engineering leader passionate about building the software and systems that power a global sales organization We are looking for a Director to lead our Sales Tools & Technology department driving the development of critical web-based applications and integrations that make our sales teams smarter faster and more effective.
Your future team
You will guide a global team of 30 engineers and managers responsible for our entire sales technology stackfrom our Salesforce CRM to custom-built financial and support tools. Youll be responsible for building an engineering culture thats obsessed with solving real-world problems for our sales teams turning great ideas into brilliant easy-to-use tools.
What you will do as Engineering Director
This role is about building bridges through technology. You will partner closely with sales operations and leadership to understand their needs but your focus will be on leading your teams to deliver robust scalable and high-quality software.
This means that you will among other things:
Lead mentor and grow three engineering teams (approx. 30 professionals total) directly managing a team of 6 and providing leadership to the managers of the other two groups.
Define and execute the technology roadmap for our sales-focused systems including our Salesforce CRM custom web applications and data integrations.
Champion modern software development practices (Agile CI/CD) to improve team velocity and code quality.
Partner with architects and senior engineers to make key technology and architectural decisions.
Ensure your systems are reliable secure and scalable to support our companys growth.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders in sales finance and other departments to ensure your team is building solutions that drive real business value.
Who are we looking for
We are looking for a grounded leader with a proven track record of building and managing successful software engineering teams. You are as comfortable discussing system architecture as you are presenting a technology strategy to business leaders.
Your background ideally includes:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
10 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams. Having previous experience managing managers is a big plus.
Proven experience leading teams that build and maintain web applications SaaS platforms (like Salesforce) and/or API-driven systems.
A solid understanding of sales operations and processes within a large global organization; you know how to translate sales needs into technical requirements.
Demonstrated ability to coach mentor and develop engineering talent.
Strong experience in building relationships and communicating complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
The systems your teams manage serve users worldwide making fluency in English essential. We believe in developing solutions from the outside in with end-users needs always in mind.
