Job Description
What is The Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality IT solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a servant-leader enabling teams to follow Agile practices effectively fostering collaboration and driving the successful delivery of IT projects. This role will require a deep understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies technical acuity and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning daily stand-ups sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor Agile teams to improve their understanding and execution of Agile principles and practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure that product backlogs are prioritized well-defined and ready for sprints.
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Promote a culture of continuous growth by regularly tracking team progress and supporting improvement efforts.
- Foster open communication and transparency within the team and with business partners.
- Guide the team in achieving high performance while maintaining focus on business objectives.
- Work closely with IT leadership to align Agile practices with organizational goals and deliverables.
- Regularly share project updatessuch as sprint progress team velocity and key metricswith the team to keep everyone informed.
- Assist in identifying dependencies risks and challenges providing solutions to mitigate them proactively.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software development environment.
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum Kanban and SAFe.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent facilitation organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced IT environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within and across teams.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in DevOps or IT operations.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies software development lifecycles (SDLC) and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with BigQuery ServiceNow and/or Mulesoft.
- Advanced certifications such as Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) SAFe Scrum Master or PMI-ACP.
- Background in IT project management or technical leadership roles.
