Job Description
We are seeking a Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of environmental monitoring and laboratory activities within a regulated scientific environment. This role ensures compliance with quality standards manages sample collection and testing workflows and leads a team of laboratory professionals to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental monitoring programs (compressed gases water cleanroom environments)
- Supervise lab operations ensuring timely and accurate testing and reporting
- Manage equipment calibration and maintenance schedules
- Oversee training and ensure procedural compliance
- Utilize LIMS for sample tracking and performance metrics
- Conduct investigations and prepare technical reports
- Support microbial identification and media acceptance testing
- Apply Lean principles to improve workflow efficiency
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor analysts and group leaders
- Coordinate scheduling task assignments and onboarding
- Manage overtime and weekend work schedules
- Promote company values and team alignment
- Participate in hiring and team development initiatives
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Chemistry Microbiology or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory operations and team leadership
- Hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated environment preferred
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills

Additional Information :
What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

Additional Details:
This is a full-time onsite position based on a second shift schedule (Monday through Friday 2 pm-10:30 pm) with occasional weekends and overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Rensselaer NY are strongly encouraged to apply.
