Job Description
Summary:
A manufacturing company specializing in the production of motor vehicle safety products is looking to add a textile pattern technician to their team. The position is primarily responsible for developing fabric templates and converting design concepts into accurate repeatable patterns.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with design engineers to create and refine patterns including adapting existing designs or developing new ones and takes part in fabric cutting.
* Develop design and draft patterns manually ensuring they are precise and accurate.
* Produce sample patterns to evaluate fit and function making adjustments as needed.
* Work alongside designers and machinists to support the seamless flow of the design process.
* Cut fabric pieces in alignment with finalized patterns.
Requirements:
* 2 years of experience cutting patterns.
* Must be proficient in basic sewing skills.
* Candidates with a technical background are preferred but not required.
