You graduated in 2025 and you are motivated to bring performance improvements into Airbus aircraft programs to reduce emissions and contribute to mitigate climate impacts Its time to join the Airbus Engine Performance team!

Within Airbus Commercial in the Toulouse area you will collaborate with engine manufacturers to assess develop certify and monitor the engine performance brought by current and new engine designs.

In order to boost your learning curve during your on-boarding you will be part of a multi-disciplinary training program around engine performance engineering. You will explore different skills by switching from one team to another during your first 18 months.*

You may cover a wide range of products from the pre-development of new engine architectures to the development and entry into service of incremental modifications of existing engines. You may as well contribute to in-service data exploration or field event investigations.

You will work on Airbus programs or R&T in close collaboration with other design office disciplines such as aircraft performance handling qualities aerodynamics acoustics future projects flight tests and the big data community.

Your task & accountabilities :

You will perform and manage various engine performance technical activities to:

  • Assess and justify the engine performance (thrust SFC size weight) operability and emissions related impacts of engine or aircraft evolutions

  • Contribute to performance targets specification requirements and specification compliance settlements with Engine Manufacturers. Perform critical evaluation of the Engine Manufacturers proposals

  • Establish or update steady state or dynamic engine performance models

  • Elaborate performance test programs and perform analyses of test data

  • Monitor engine and aircraft performance of the delivered Airbus aircraft explain observed performance shifts and evaluate impact of engine and aircraft incremental modifications

  • Based on big data approach and in close collaboration with aircraft performance and aerodynamics teams provide best understanding of Airbus in-service fleet performance (engine operating conditions performance deterioration deterioration engine time on wing before replacement specific investigations to answer airlines queries)

  • Contribute to the analysis of revenue service incidents or issues

Your boarding pass :

  • Technical skills:

- Degree: Graduated engineer or PhD in aeronautics

- Basic knowledge of data analytics and Python propulsion thermodynamics overall aircraft physics

- Languages: English (Negotiation level)

  • Soft skills:

- Adaptable youre a team player with networking and communication skills

- Youre willing to work in international context and extended enterprise environment

- Organized and diligent you are curious to understand physics challenging data and results
