Complex Eligibility Officer

About the role

The Complex Eligibility Officer manages complex claim lodgements under the Transport Accident Act 1986 ensuring accurate and timely decisions for optimal client outcomes. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders providing specialised advice to internal teams and conducting sensitive client-focused post-acceptance claim reviews.

About the Team

You will be part of a small dedicated team of five within the Onboarding Income & Dependency branch of the Clients division. This close-knit team is highly experienced and skilled with a strong focus on achieving the best outcomes for clients.

You will be supported by the Team Manager Complex Eligibility & Dependence who is committed to developing and empowering their employees to work independently offering a supportive environment where learning from mistakes is encouraged.

What were looking for

Skilled Communicator and Collaborator

Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes while addressing sensitive client issues with empathy and professionalism.

Knowledge of Clinical and Legislative Applications

Strong understanding of medical rehabilitation and disability principles including the effects of acquired injuries. Experienced in interpreting and applying legislation with sound judgment and managing benefits and entitlements.

Detail-Oriented with Strong Writing and Technical Skills

You have a sharp attention to detail excel at drafting clear and professional written communications and are proficient in using TAC systems and word processing tools to manage complex tasks effectively.
